SHAH ALAM, Oct 9 — Budget 2027 will continue efforts to ensure that the benefits of national progress are shared by all Malaysians, with improved living standards and the opportunity for everyone to lead a dignified life, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In a Facebook post, he said the fifth Madani budget would be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat at 3.30 pm today, guided by the aspiration of ‘reaching for the sky while remaining rooted in the ground’ (menggapai di langit serta mengakar di bumi).
He also invited Malaysians to follow the budget presentation live on major television channels and digital platforms.
Themed ‘Malaysia Madani: Reaching for the Sky, Rooted in the Ground’, the second budget under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) is designed to build on the strong foundations laid by previous budgets.
According to a pre-budget statement published on the Finance Ministry's website, Budget 2027 will remain anchored in the three pillars of the Madani economy framework: raising the ceiling of economic growth, raising the floor of living standards, and driving reforms in national governance.
