SULTAN of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj bestowed honours and awards on 98 recipients in conjunction with His Royal Highness’ 80th birthday on Thursday.
The Ruler’s official birthday is held on December 11 every year.
Held at Istana Alam Shah, Sultan Sharafuddin was accompanied to the ceremony by Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, and Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz.
At the top of the recipient list was Sultan Sharafuddin’s daughter and Selangor princess Tengku Zerafina, who received the Darjah Kerabat Selangor Yang Amat Dihormati, Darjah Kerabat Kedua (DKII).
Also present at the ceremony were Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, his wife Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamed, and state executive councillors.
Through their lenses, photographers REMY ARIFIN and KHAIRUL HELMY captured glittering moments from the investiture ceremony, which was steeped in Royal tradition and reflected the sovereignty of the Selangor Sultanate.
