KLANG, Dec 11 — Three members of the Media Selangor Sdn Bhd board of directors were today honoured with Darjah Kebesaran Negeri Selangor during an investiture ceremony for Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj’s 80th birthday.
Sultan Sharafuddin conferred the Darjah Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS), which carries the title Dato’ or Datin Paduka, on Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil and Selangor Financial Officer Datuk Haniff Zainal Abidin.
Meanwhile, Yayasan Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, chief Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor received the Darjah Ahli Mahkota Selangor (AMS).
They were among 98 people who received awards and honours at the investiture ceremony, held at Istana Alam Shah today.
According to State Secretary Datuk Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin, the Selangor government received 2,449 nominations this year, including 955 for awards and honours and 1,494 for state medals.
All 98 recipients passed three main screenings by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Insolvency Department, and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
