SHAH ALAM, Dec 4 — Two water-level stations in two districts in Selangor exceeded the danger level this morning following heavy rain and thunderstorms early this morning.
The findings were based on updated data on the official Infobanjir website of the Selangor Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS) as of 9.45 am today.
The water-level stations that surpassed the danger level are Batu 12 in Hulu Langat and Jenderam Hilir in Sepang.
Meanwhile, five stations in Hulu Langat recorded warning-level readings — Pekan Bangi Lama and Batu 15, both showing rising trends — as well as Tanjung Malim (Hulu Selangor), Rimba KDR (Sabak Bernam) and Bukit Changgang (Kuala Langat).
Four other stations recorded alert-level readings: Pintu Air Ijok in Kuala Selangor; Dengkil in Sepang; and the SKC Bridge and Kampung Sungai Selisik in Hulu Selangor.
This morning, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued a thunderstorm and heavy rain warning for several states in the morning.
Affected areas include Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
