SHAH ALAM, Nov 30 — Entrepreneurs from the state should capitalise on every opportunity provided to them to expand their business network, including through events like the Selangor Entrepreneur Expo (SelBiz).

KRU Entertainment chief executive officer Datuk Norman Abd Halim said this is due to Selangor’s strategic location, which has the potential to open access to larger markets.

"Many agencies, both at the federal and state levels, also offer support and assistance to entrepreneurs.

"I had the opportunity to look at some of the products at SelBiz, and most of them are really good. To me, these entrepreneurs should expand their businesses, including through rebranding.

"They should capitalise on the opportunities offered by the state so that their products can go further," he told Media Selangor yesterday.

Meanwhile, Kek Lapis Sarawak Premium entrepreneur Abdul Muhaimin Ghani said half of his products were sold out on the first day of SelBiz on Friday.

“This is our first time participating in SelBiz, and the response has been very encouraging. I am confident that all our product stock will be sold out. This has been a new and rewarding experience,” he said.

This year’s SelBiz also offers more than 200 lucky draw prizes, including a grand prize of a five-day cruise vacation, and features performances by popular artistes such as Dayang Nurfaizah, Adira Suhaimi, Black Hanifah and Zarul Umbrella.

Introduced by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) in 2022, SelBiz aims to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and promote local products to wider markets, while also serving as a strategic platform to strengthen the economic growth of entrepreneurs in Selangor.
