KLANG, Oct 22 — The royal wedding ceremony of the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah and Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz took place with full regality and adherence to royal traditions at Istana Alam Shah tonight.
The ceremony, which began at 7.45pm, was graced by the presence of the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj and the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.
Also in attendance were Menteri Besar Dato Seri Amirudin Shari and his wife Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad; Investment, Trade, and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, and members of the state administration.

It commenced with the royal couple, resplendent in matching pale yellow songket attire, making their entrance into the Balairung Seri, accompanied by the harmonious strains of an orchestra.
The event was further dignified by the renjis (rose water sprinkling ritual) ceremony, performed by Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, followed by the groom’s mother Puan Nur Lisa Idris Abdullah, and other members of the royal family.
The ceremony concluded with a doa recital led by Selangor Mufti Dato' Anhar Opir, before proceeding to the Royal Banquet at the Balai Santapan Diraja.

Earlier, on October 2, the royal couple were solemnised by Anhar, in the presence of the Tengku Panglima Raja of Selangor Tengku Ahmad Shah Alhaj, and the Tengku Indera Pahlawan Diraja Tengku Datuk Setia Putra Alhaj.
The solemnisation ceremony, conducted with utmost decorum and in accordance with royal customs, was graced by Their Royal Highnesses.
The akad ijab dan kabul (marriage vows) were pronounced at 10.08am in a single utterance, followed by 11 cannon shots fired by the 41st Battery of the Royal Artillery Regiment (Ceremonial) as a symbolic mark of the royal union’s completion.
