HULU LANGAT, Oct 19 — Various high-impact initiatives, including the resolution of strata ownership issues, will continue next year as part of efforts to strengthen Selangor’s inclusive housing agenda and create more liveable communities, said Datuk Borhan Aman Shah.

The state executive councillor for housing said that under the supervision of the Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS), high-impact physical and social projects will be implemented to further enhance the well-being of the people.

Apart from resolving strata ownership matters, he said other initiatives include developing green community spaces in apartment areas and empowering residents through social activities such as the Rewang Komuniti Strata programme.

“The year 2026 will focus on strengthening the inclusive housing agenda and building liveable communities through the implementation of various high-impact physical and social projects under LPHS.

“In the upcoming state budget, expected to be tabled on November 14, the state government will continue to strengthen housing policies and frameworks to empower housing communities — particularly strata residents — through multiple initiatives,” he said.

Some of the efforts to be continued include the Smart Rent Scheme, People’s Residency Programme (PRR), Selangor Strata Fund (DSS), and community empowerment programmes such as C-SMART and Ceria Scheme.

“These initiatives are aimed at ensuring that all segments of society enjoy safer, more sustainable, and liveable environments,” said Borhan when launching the Rewang Komuniti Strata programme at Pangsapuri Cempaka (Council Homes), in Section 16, Bandar Baru Bangi, here yesterday.

During the event, 105 food baskets were distributed to residents in need, while the Perumahan dan Hartanah Selangor Sdn Bhd contributed RM10,000 for roof repairs at Surau Ar-Riduan.

In addition, a total of RM954,436.22 from the Selangor Strata Fund (DSS) was channelled by the state government to Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) (MBI) to resolve strata ownership issues at Desa Serdang Flat and Flora Taman Impian Ehsan Apartment.

More than 3,000 residents participated in the event, which featured various activities including free health screenings, information counters by LPHS, and a fire safety demonstration.
