KLANG, Oct 2 — Selangor’s royal wedding ceremony at Istana Alam Shah was not just historic, but a point of pride among those who witnessed the celebration.
Resident Sumana Siri Siripala, 68, said he was happy to see for himself the beauty and grandeur of the event, which are rarely seen up close.
“I am proud to be able to witness a royal wedding. The decorations are very beautiful and were a draw for tourists coming to Klang. This is also an opportunity for people of various races to celebrate together,” he told Media Selangor.

Klang native Muhammad Norhaslam Karudzaman, 32, said the royal wedding was long-awaited by the people of Selangor.
“I was very excited about the announcement by the palace. The decorations along the route also caught my attention. It not only showcases the beauty of local culture but also unites the people,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lim E Siang, 24, said the wedding of Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah was an event that elevates Klang’s name as a city steeped in heritage and tradition.
“This experience is special because it is not easy to witness a royal wedding up close. I am proud that this historic event took place in Klang.”
