KLANG, Sept 26 — The Klang Royal City Council (MBDK) is actively carrying out repair, cleaning, and upgrading works around Istana Alam Shah in preparation for the royal wedding ceremony of Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah.

Klang Deputy Mayor Mohd Zary Effendi Mohd Arif said the main focus is on beautifying the route to the palace while ensuring the surroundings remain clean, neat, and attractive.

“As a royal city, MBDK is responsible for ensuring the area around the palace is clean and in the best condition to commemorate this historic moment.

"Maintenance and cleaning works are being carried out meticulously, including upgrading basic facilities and landscaping in the area,” he said after officiating the MBDK Environmental Health Day at Dewan Hamzah here yesterday.

Previously, on September 22, the Selangor Palace announced that Tengku Amir Shah would be marrying his partner, Afzaa Fadini Dato’ Abdul Aziz, on October 2.

According to a statement issued by Selangor Ruler’s private secretary Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani, the solemnisation ceremony will be held at the Royal Palace Mosque, Istana Alam Shah, Klang.

The wedding reception and royal banquet, meanwhile, will be held at Balairung Seri and Balai Santapan Diraja, Istana Alam Shah, on October 22.
