SHAH ALAM, Sept 19 — The Selangor Sultan’s Office has filed a police report over a fake TikTok account that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to manipulate and misuse the image of the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.
It said that the fraudulent account reportedly also misuses images of other individuals and public figures, suspected to be part of scam activities.
“The public is urged to remain vigilant and verify information before being misled by such fake accounts on social media,” the office said in a Facebook post on the Selangor Royal Office page.
It also advised users to report suspicious accounts immediately to platform operators.
When contacted, Shah Alam police chief ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed that the report has been received by authorities.
