Mihas 2025: Halal International Selangor aims for RM2m in sales

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 17 — Halal International Selangor (HIS) is targeting RM2 million in sales through its participation in the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (Mihas) 2025.

HIS Toyyiba Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Khushairi Lasar said the target is achievable through the involvement of 20 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under the Selangor Pavilion.

“These 20 exhibitors comprise MSMEs from the food and beverage sector, halal logistics and warehousing, cosmetics and personal care, as well as educational institutions and media, all under the Selangor Pavilion.

“This participation demonstrates the capability of local MSMEs to break into international markets. We hope Mihas will open up more business opportunities both locally and abroad.

“Our hope is also that more entrepreneurs will be able to produce more halal products in the future,” he told Media Selangor.

Khushairi added that HIS Toyyiba is also working on developing digital solutions in halal through an app that will help the public access more accurate information.

“This halal digitalisation aims to provide the public with faster and more accurate information related to the halal ecosystem. We will consolidate and announce this in the near future,” he said.

MIHAS 2025 opened today at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur, featuring more than 2,400 exhibitors from 80 countries. Organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), the four-day event runs until Saturday (September 20).
