SHAH ALAM, Dec 6 — Selangor has topped the list again as the state recorded 337 infections, out of the total 1,335 daily Covid-19 cases reported nationwide today.
Negeri Sembilan recorded the second-highest number of new cases at 258, followed by Sabah with 250 infections.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there are two imported cases reported in Selangor.
“Out of the 335 (local) cases reported in Selangor today, 187 were from existing clusters, 87 cases from close-contact screenings and 61 others identified from other Covid-19 screenings,” he said in a statement today.
According to the data by the Selangor Health Department’s Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC), Hulu Langat district recorded the highest figure with 182 cases, followed by Klang (74), Petaling (51), Kuala Langat and Hulu Selangor with eight cases each, Sepang (6), Gombak (5), and Kuala Selangor (1).
Sabak Bernam district reported no cases.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the state stands at 16,412 out of the accumulated 72,694 infections in Malaysia.
