SHAH ALAM, Nov 1 – Two people died following a collision between two cars along the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) near Bukit Antarabangsa in Ampang Jaya early Sunday.
According toThe Star, Ampang Jaya police chief ACP Khairul Anuar Khalid said the accident occurred at about 12.40 am when a car travelling from Taman Melawati towards Cheras lost control at KM23.
He said the car skidded into the opposite lane before crashing into another vehicle.
“The driver of the first car sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel from Hospital Ampang.
“The driver of the second car was also injured and later died while receiving treatment at Hospital Ampang,” he said in a statement on Sunday.
Khairul added that a passenger in the second car was also injured and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Police have urged anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward and assist the investigation by contacting the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division at the Ampang Jaya district police headquarters.
