SHAH ALAM, Oct 1 — Two teenage siblings have gone missing from Lembah Jaya Utara in Ampang Jaya, one after the other, after leaving their home on September 26 and 27, said a Berita Harian report.
Syazana Qurratu Aini Zulhazmi, 17, and younger sister Nur Qistina Fhatanah, 16, were reported missing by their mother after she realised neither of her daughters had gone home.
Ampang Jaya police chief Khairul Anuar Khalid said Syazana left home at 8pm on September 26, saying she was going to have a meal with a friend nearby.
The next day, Qistina told her mother she was going to the school carnival at SMK Taman Kosas, but didn’t return.
“The victims’ mother suspects the reason her two daughters left home was (because they wanted) freedom,” he said in a statement today.
Khairul said Syazana is 159cm tall and weighs 45kg, and is of fair complexion, while Qistina is 155cm and weighs 45kg, and has a tan complexion.
The two were last seen in Lembah Jaya Utara.
Khairul urged people with information on the sisters’ disappearances to contact the Ampang Jaya district police headquarters’ control centre at 03-4289 7222 or investigating officer Afizah Zainal at 017-218 5192.
