SHAH ALAM, Oct 27 — Selangor has earned RM2.8 billion in revenue as of last week, a key milestone ahead of the 2027 Selangor Budget tabling on November 13, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
The new budget is significant as it is the first one under the Second Selangor Plan (RS-2), he said after chairing a budget coordination meeting at the State Secretariat Building here today.
“Thank God, state revenue has reached RM2.8 billion as of last week. We are also exploring potential new revenue streams and ensuring every allocation from the state government benefits as many Selangor residents as possible,” he said in a Facebook post today.
Amirudin added that Selangor’s collaboration with the federal government remains a priority, including on developing the semiconductor industry and executing flood mitigation projects as both are vital for economic growth and public well-being.
“God willing, the 2027 Selangor Budget will continue to focus on matters that directly impact the lives of the people, ranging from economic and employment opportunities to public transport and day-to-day well-being.
“It is my hope that the progress achieved in Selangor can be felt and enjoyed by all segments of society,” he added.
Amirudin also encouraged Selangor residents to share their ideas and suggestions for the state’s development in the comment section of his Facebook post.
“Who knows, we could realise your idea in the 2027 Selangor Budget!” he said.
