SHAH ALAM, Oct 14 — All state religious schools under the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) will operate as usual tomorrow until further notice.
Its director Dato' Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad said the decision also applies to private Islamic schools (SIP) in the state.
“However, parents or guardians may choose not to send their children to school if they are concerned about their children’s health, and must inform the school of their absence.
“Schools are advised to reduce outdoor activities, while teachers and students attending school are encouraged to wear face masks as a precautionary measure. Students with acute severe asthma must be closely monitored by the school,” he said in a statement today.
Shahzihan also advised school administrators, parents, and guardians to stay abreast of official announcements from the authorities on air quality developments and related instructions on school operations, and not to assume whether schools will remain operational.
JAIS will announce further information on school operations through its official channels from time to time.
