SHAH ALAM, Oct 14 — Two students were among five people who received traffic summonses during a police operation outside SMK La Salle in Klang yesterday.
South Klang police said three of its Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division (BSPTD) personnel conducted Op Didik from 7am to 8am yesterday.
During the operation, police inspected 12 motorcycles and issued five summonses — four for not wearing helmets and one over a non-compliant licence plate. Two summonses were issued to students while the other three were for parents.
“These findings highlight the importance of traffic rule compliance, not only among students, but also the need for awareness and good examples set by parents to ensure mutual safety,” South Klang police said in a Facebook post.
Op Didik aimed to educate students and parents about the importance of complying with traffic regulations, especially by using helmets.
South Klang police said they would keep conducting Op Didik to ensure road safety, especially in school zones.
