SHAH ALAM, Oct 13 — Investment in sports is a long-term investment for the community’s future; a foundational principle of Kumpulan Semesta Sdn Bhd (KSSB) and Infrasel’s persisting commitment to Selangor FC, to which they have given RM3.5 million since 2023.
KSSB chief executive officer Nizran Noordin said the strategic partnership with Selangor FC reflects both companies’ commitment in supporting the development of the state’s football industry.
“Today’s (signing) ceremony isn’t just to sign a deal between three organisations, but an effort to strengthen the strategic relationship between KSSB and Infrasel with Selangor FC.
“We always believe that investment in sports is investment for the community’s future,” he said in his speech at the Selangor FC Strategic Partnership Signing Ceremony with KSSB and Infrasel here on October 7.

Nizran said KSSB and Infrasel’s support for Selangor’s football industry is a longstanding one, and he hopes the partnership opens more doors to develop sports in the state.
He said the organisations’ continuous support could also foster togetherness in the community to back Selangor FC as the state’s pride.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, who is also Selangor FC chairman.
Meanwhile, Selangor FC chief executive officer Johan Kamal Hamidon said cooperation with state subsidiaries like KSSB and Infrasel positively contributes to the club’s growth, such as the squad reaching the ASEAN Club Championship final last season for the first time since 1967.
“This long-term partnership also helps place Selangor FC among the best clubs in ASEAN, with its consecutive qualifications to the ASEAN Champions League 2,” he said.
Johan added that he hopes the three-way strategic agreement continues to create more opportunities for Selangor FC’s future growth.
