Selangor through to FA Cup semis on 6-4 aggregate

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 — Brunei club DPMM FC and Selangor FC have secured their places in the 2026 FA Cup semi-finals after overcoming their respective opponents in last night's quarter-final second-leg matches.

DPMM FC eliminated Kuala Lumpur City FC 4-3 on aggregate, while Selangor FC advanced to the next round with a 6-4 aggregate victory over Star City FC.

At the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Cheras, DPMM FC edged Kuala Lumpur City FC 1-0 after the two sides had played out a 3-3 draw in the first leg in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The only goal of the match came as early as the 11th minute when DPMM FC striker Jordan Murray converted a long pass from Tommy Mawat Bada to put the visitors ahead.

DPMM FC will face defending champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, at the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Stadium, Selangor FC secured their semi-final berth despite suffering a 3-2 defeat to Star City FC last night.

Playing in front of their home supporters, Selangor opened the scoring in the ninth minute through Zikri Khalili, who headed home from a corner.

The Red Giants doubled their advantage in the 34th minute when Vitor Pernambuco struck the second goal to give the hosts a 2-0 lead at half-time.

However, Star City FC staged a second-half comeback, with Moses Atede reducing the deficit in the 62nd minute before Pedro Santos equalised in the 75th minute.

Ramon Machado completed the visitors' comeback with a 90th-minute goal, but the victory was not enough to prevent Selangor from advancing to the semi-finals with a 6-4 aggregate win.

Kim Pan Gon's Selangor FC will face Kuching City FC in the semi-finals.
