SHAH ALAM, Oct 1 — The Selangor government’s RM30 public transport subsidy via the NINE app has been expanded to the KTM Komuter service, said state executive councillor for investment, trade and mobility Ng Sze Han.
The subsidy scheme is already active for Rapid On Demand and Kumpool.
Ng said the facility covers the Klang Valley, northern, and southern Komuter lines.
“Eligible Selangor residents may enjoy the RM30 monthly subsidy until December this year; under the Selangor Public Transport Subsidy programme; thereby helping alleviate daily commuting costs,” he said in a Facebook post yesterday.
Users must download the NINE app, apply for the subsidy, and choose KTM Komuter as their transport service. Once approved, the subsidy will be credited monthly into their NINE eWallet.
The subsidy can then be used to buy Komuter tickets on the KTMB Mobile or KITS Style apps by choosing NINE as the payment method.
The fare subsidy, under the Selangor Resilience Enhancement Package (SREP) launched on June 15, will benefit 50,000 recipients for six months.
