SHAH ALAM, Sept 24 — Five orchard retreats, resorts and chalets around Kalumpang, Hulu Selangor, have been ordered to close immediately after they were found operating without valid licences from the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS).
The operation involved 17 personnel from the Enforcement Department, Building Department, Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Department, Planning Department and Licensing Department.
MPHS said the action followed an integrated monitoring and enforcement operation targeting orchard retreats, resorts and chalets in the area.
“Following this, immediate closure orders were issued against the premises,” it said in a statement on Facebook.
Notices informing operators of the closures were also posted at the entrance of each premises for the attention of owners and other relevant parties.
MPHS said it would continue monitoring and enforcement efforts to ensure that orchard retreats, resorts and chalets comply with regulations and stipulated licensing requirements.
