SHAH ALAM, Sept 25 — Residents in the Sungai Tua state constituency received education contributions and cost-of-living assistance yesterday to help ease the burden of daily expenses.
The N16 Sungai Tua Community Service Centre said the aid was distributed through its Student Contribution and Cost-of-Living Assistance Programme as part of ongoing efforts to engage with residents and safeguard the welfare of the local community.
“Efforts such as these will continue to be strengthened as a reflection of our concern and commitment to ensuring the people’s welfare remains a priority.
“We hope the contributions will benefit recipients and provide some relief to them and their families,” it said in a Facebook post.
The programme, held at the Sungai Tua state constituency office grounds in Batu Caves at 10.30 am, was officiated by political secretary to the Selangor Menteri Besar, A Rahim Kasdi, who represented Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
Also present were Sungai Tua village heads and representatives from the Sungai Tua Women’s Empowerment Centre (PWB), who joined efforts to engage with the community and help identify the needs of local residents.
