SHAH ALAM, Sept 24 — All six stations in Selangor remained at moderate levels at 6pm today, according to the API Management System (APIMS) portal.
Shah Alam had the highest reading at 86, followed by Johan Setia (81), Petaling Jaya (76), Banting (74), Klang (73), and Kuala Selangor (69).
In the Klang Valley area, the three stations also remain at moderate level: Cheras (86), Batu Muda (75), and Putrajaya (71).
Meanwhile, four Sarawak stations logged moderate numbers while nine others recorded unhealthy levels, namely, Kuching (187), Samarahan (175), Sri Aman (173), Bintulu (159), Sarikei (157), Sibu (155), Samalaju (153), and Kapit (144), with the Serian IPD reading improving to 194 compared with its very unhealthy 215 score at 10am earlier.
Eleven stations nationwide had good API readings, with Kedah’s Langkawi recording the best air quality at 21.
An API reading of 0 to 50 is good, 51 to 100 is moderate, 101 to 200 is unhealthy, 201 to 300 is very unhealthy, and anything above 301 is hazardous.
