SHAH ALAM, Sept 16 - Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has called on Malaysians to continue strengthening national unity and serving the country in conjunction with Malaysia Day.
Amirudin said unity is a valuable national asset that must be protected by all Malaysians, regardless of where they live.
“From the tip of the Peninsula to Sabah and Sarawak, our unity is a treasure that must be preserved by all the people.
“In the life of this multiracial society, we have built a dignified and harmonious life,” he said in a Malaysia Day message on a Facebook post today.
Amirudin also said history had shown that division and hatred would only bring negative consequences to the people and country.
He urged Malaysians to continue contributing towards the prosperity of the country by strengthening unity and serving the nation.
“Let us continue to prosper the land of Malaysia by strengthening unity, serving for the country and working for the country.
“Happy Malaysia Day,” he said.
