TAWAU, Sept 12 — Malaysia has an action plan to deal with potential haze during the 2027 SEA Games, which the country will host, said Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Mordi Bimol.
“Preparations for the SEA Games are progressing smoothly, with no problems.
“However, following the recent haze, if it occurs around the same time the Games are being held, we have certain plans in place and are prepared,” he told reporters after a town hall here today.
Mordi also said preparations for sports facilities and accommodation for the SEA Games were also progressing smoothly.
“There are no problems with the facilities, especially in Sarawak, which is one of the co-hosts. Everything is progressing smoothly,” he said, adding that a trial run for the sports facilities be done before the 2027 SEA Games.
