KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 — The Selangor Triple Accelerator Programme 2026 Showcase, held from August 18 to 20, provided 90 startups with a platform for live pitching, product showcases and industry engagement, enabling them to build, refine and strengthen their businesses.
Organised by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC), the three-day programme featured three accelerator tracks — Deep-X, Retail-X and Token-X — where participants pitched their businesses and showcased their innovations to panels of industry experts and ecosystem leaders.
“The event brought together 90 startups, with 30 participants each from Token-X, Deep-X and Retail-X, representing a diverse range of sectors, including Web3, blockchain and fintech; artificial intelligence, healthtech and agritech; and retail, e-commerce and consumer technology,” SIDEC said in a statement.
SIDEC said the top eight finalists from each track will be announced in mid-September, with 24 finalists advancing to the Grand Final Demo Day at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on October 14 to compete for top honours.
“A total of 12 winners across the three programmes will be recognised, with each receiving an international trip, access to investment and networking opportunities, and a trophy and certificate.
“The champion of each track will also receive an additional RM20,000 cash prize, recognising their achievements and potential to take their ventures to the next level,” SIDEC said.
Meanwhile, SIDEC chief executive officer Yong Kai Ping said the event provides startups with a platform to showcase their businesses, forge meaningful connections and engage with the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem.
“At SIDEC, we believe our role goes beyond supporting startups — it is about creating platforms, connections and opportunities that help founders move forward.
“We are proud to be part of their journey as they take their ventures to the next level,” he added.
