SHAH ALAM, Aug 23 — Selangor diver Ayu Syuhaida Khairul clinched gold in the SUKMA women’s 3m springboard event at Selangor Aquatic here today.
In the final, Ayu Shuhaida’s five dives netted her 237.20 points, putting her at the top of the podium.
Silver went to Sarawak’s Dayang Nursharzyra Awang Nasaruddin, who took 223.20 points, while bronze went to the Federal Territories’ Lee Yiat Qing, with 216.10 points.
This was Ayu Syuhaida’s first gold this SUKMA, after she took bronze in the women’s synchronised 3m springboard with partner Uzlifatil Jannah Asyraf.
Ayu Syuhaida still has one more chance at a medal in the mixed synchronised 10m platform event today.
