KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 — Eksplorasi Merdeka Rapid KL 4.0 (EMRKL4.0) will once again meet the public at Putra Heights Station on September 5, in conjunction with the National Month celebration.
Rapid KL announced that the fourth edition of the event follows the encouraging response received in previous years.
“This programme combines the use of Rapid KL’s rail and bus network in an exploratory experience that takes participants to explore various interesting locations around Kuala Lumpur.
“Apart from having the opportunity to get to know the iconic landmarks of the capital, participants can appreciate the history, heritage, and cultural diversity that shape Malaysia’s identity, thus celebrating ethnic diversity, the country’s rich heritage and culture, as well as instilling a spirit of patriotism among the community,” it said in a statement today.
Rapid KL added that participants will also be given more difficult challenges, quizzes, and interactive activities at selected locations throughout the event.
“Each task requires participants to use their knowledge, creativity, and teamwork skills to accumulate points and seize the opportunity to be crowned champions.
“With a registration fee of RM250 per team (excluding registration system administration charges), participants have the opportunity to take home cash prizes of more than RM13,000, in addition to winning various attractive prizes through lucky draws,” it said.
Putra Heights Station was chosen as the departure location because it is one of the main interchange stations connecting the Kelana Jaya Line and the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line, and because it coincides with the 30th anniversary of the line as Malaysia's first LRT line.
“This event reflects appreciation for the legacy of the national rail system and the role of public transport in driving urban mobility development over the past three decades.
“In addition, it strengthens Rapid KL’s relationship with the community, in line with Rapid KL’s continuous efforts to strengthen service quality and enhance the experience of Malaysians,” Rapid KL said.
