SHAH ALAM, Aug 2 — The Selangor State Education Department (JPNS) will provide full cooperation to the police in the investigation into the death of a teacher at a school in Hulu Selangor.
It said its immediate focus is to ensure the assistance is provided to the victim’s family, while providing psychosocial support services to help affected members of the school community.
“JPNS is deeply saddened and extends its condolences to the family of the teacher who died at the school on Friday.
“The incident is currently under investigation by the police. We will provide full cooperation throughout the investigation process,” it said in a statement today.
The department urged the public to respect the family’s privacy by refraining from spreading unverified information that could disrupt the investigation process.
“May the family be granted patience and strength in facing this difficult time,” it said.
Earlier, it was reported that a female teacher was found dead at a school in the Hulu Selangor district yesterday.
Hulu Selangor district police chief Superintendent Manimaran Muniandi said police received an emergency call through the 999 line at about 7.15am yesterday regarding the incident.
