SHAH ALAM, July 21 — Selangor residents may soon monitor the progress of projects in their neighbourhoods on the Kita Selangor Penyayang digital platform, which will be launched in August.
Selangor Implementation and Performance Monitoring Unit (SIAP) assistant secretary Mohd Saiful Azri Mohd Fouzi said the site would display information on project progress and costs, and is an effort to boost transparency and accountability.
“On this platform, the people can find out about projects that are completed, in progress, and see photographic proof.
“This is an effort to boost the state government’s accountability so the people can follow updates on projects that use public funds,” he told Media Selangor when met after an engagement session on Kita Selangor Penyayang at Hotel Mardhiyyah here today.

Saiful added that project statuses would be updated periodically by implementing agencies and monitored by assemblymen.
He said the system is coordinated by local authorities, district offices, and the Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS).
“SIAP will monitor the entire (endeavour) to ensure every piece of information is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible by the people,” he explained.
Kita Selangor Penyayang, launched in 2022, is a Selangor government initiative that focuses on physical developments and involves cooperation between agencies and all 56 state constituencies.
On June 19, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced a RM14 million allocation to strengthen public facility development under the initiative.
