SEPANG, July 7 — The Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) has launched the Sepang Endowment Fund (TES) with an initial RM10 million allocation to finance welfare and community development programmes sustainably over the next three years.

Its President Ani Ahmad said it will serve as a platform to strengthen collaboration among the local authority, the corporate sector, and the community, while fostering a culture of philanthropy for the benefit of local residents.

The TES focus on poverty eradication, entrepreneurship, education, and training to empower communities across the district.

“MPSepang has allocated RM10 million over a three-year period to be managed and invested under the endowment fund.

“Through systematic fund management, the endowment is expected to generate annual investment returns of approximately RM360,000 to finance various welfare and community development programmes,” she said during TES' launch at MPSepang's headquarters in Cyberjaya today.

Ani added that the fund also provides opportunities for various parties to contribute through cash donations, investment shares, assets, and investment returns, thereby ensuring the fund's long-term sustainability.

This approach is expected to broaden private-sector and community participation in supporting Sepang's social development agenda, while increasing assistance for those in need.

During the event, MPSepang also launched the Sepang Endowment Office, which will be responsible for the governance, investment management, and implementation of initiatives under TES to ensure its benefits are delivered to the community continuously.
