SHAH ALAM, JUNE 21 — Sixty-one outstanding Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2025 students received excellence incentives from the Tanjong Sepat state constituency as a token of appreciation for their academic achievements.

The incentive programme at Dewan Kebudayaan Homestay Pantai Batu Laut yesterday was officiated by Tanjong Sepat state assemblyman Datuk Borhan Aman Shah, underscoring the constituency’s continued commitment to empowering the education sector and encouraging more students to achieve excellence in the future.

All recipients are students of registered voters in the Tanjong Sepat constituency who scored at least 5As in the 2025 SPM examinations.

Out of the total, 19 students obtained 5As, followed by 11 students (6As), nine students (7As), eight students (8As), 10 students (9As), while two students each achieved 10As and 11As.

RM15,400 was allocated to ensure the initiative's success, with cash rewards distributed based on the number of As obtained at a rate of RM50 per A. Accordingly, students who achieved 5As received RM250, while those who achieved 11As received RM550.

In addition to cash prizes, every student also received a certificate of appreciation and complimentary gifts as recognition of their hard work and dedication to their studies.

The programme also reflects the priority placed on human capital development and education within the Tanjong Sepat constituency.

As of May, the Tanjong Sepat community service centre has channelled RM20,000 to assist with various needs of educational institutions in the area.

Among the aid distributed are contributions to Parent-Teacher Association annual general meetings, a Smart TV, court repairs, stationery assistance for SPM candidates, chairs and tables, and canteen and guardhouse repairs.
