SHAH ALAM, June 8 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari will undertake a three-day official visit to Singapore beginning today under the S R Nathan Fellowship Programme.
Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the visit, which will take place from June 8 to 10, will provide Amirudin with the opportunity to meet several senior leaders of the republic.
They include Singapore Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, Education Minister Desmond Lee and National Development Minister Chee Hong Tat.
“Amirudin is also scheduled to engage with several Singapore government agencies and receive briefings on economic planning, investment promotion, urban redevelopment and urban planning.
“In addition, he will be briefed on the education, arts and culture sectors during the visit,” the ministry said in a statement.
The S R Nathan Fellowship Programme was established to encourage the exchange of views and sharing of experiences between foreign leaders and senior officials and Singapore across various strategic areas.
