SHAH ALAM, May 27 — This year’s Aidiladha celebration at Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah was more vibrant and well-organised, with a strong sense of community spirit and smoother management of the korban programme.
Chemist, Ahmad Hafizi Che Mohammad, 38, said the atmosphere was livelier this year, aided by improved facilities and arrangements that made the programme more convenient for participants.
“This is my second year participating in the korban here, and I can see that this year is even more lively than last year.
“The facilities and management are also very good, so everything went smoothly,” he told Media Selangor after the korban ceremony.
Hafizi expressed hope that the programme would continue and improve further, while praying that all korban acts of worship would be accepted by Allah SWT.

Moreover, lawyer Wan Nur Nadia, 35, said the Aidiladha celebration was always eagerly anticipated because it brought people together regardless of their backgrounds.
“Even though we do not know each other, during Aidiladha everyone is able to unite.
“My hope is that this year’s korban will be accepted by Allah SWT and that programmes like this will continue and improve in the future,” she said.

Earlier today, nearly 200 participants took part in the korban ceremony at the mosque, involving 28 cows, including one contributed by the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj.
Almost 400 personnel from various agencies, including the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department, the Shah Alam City Council, Universiti Teknologi MARA, and mosque officials, worked together to ensure the programme’s success.
