SHAH ALAM, April 8 — The government starts disbursing the BUDI Madani Diesel RM300 cash aid today, said Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil.
He added that the assistance is being channelled to ease recipients’ burden as diesel prices rise amid the global energy crisis.
“The RM300 BUDI Madani Diesel cash aid includes an interim RM100 supplement.
“As the world faces energy crisis pressures, the government is choosing to protect the people by channelling aid,” Fahmi said in a Facebook post.
He said the RM100 supplementary aid is temporary and will be reassessed monthly based on the latest developments in the global energy market and Malaysia’s fiscal position.
BUDI Diesel, which is under the BUDI Madani initiative, aims to ensure target groups receive financial support, especially for diesel costs.
Malaysians may apply for BUDI Diesel on its website.
