300 Banting students get back-to-school aid under state govt plan

SHAH ALAM, March 28 — State executive councillor for human resources and poverty eradication Papparaidu Veraman today distributed financial aid to 300 students in the Banting state constituency under this year’s back-to-school programme organised by the Selangor government.

According to him, the initiative is aimed at helping students with their schooling needs, ease their parents’ burden, and encourage academic excellence.

“This morning I had the opportunity to hand over financial aid as part of the 2026 back-to-school programme in the Banting state constituency.

“Three hundred students benefited from this initiative to support them in their school session,” he said in a Facebook post today after the programme, held at Banting Centro Mall.

Papparaidu, who is also Banting assemblyman, added that the programme reflects the state government’s ongoing commitment under Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari to prioritise children’s welfare and education.

“We hope initiatives like this are able to ease parents’ burdens and motivate children to excel in their studies,” he said.

Papparaidu also thanked the officers at the Banting Community Service Centre and parties involved in the programme.

The programme is part of the state government’s broader efforts to support education and ensure children from all backgrounds have resources to do well in school.
