HULU SELANGOR, Feb 26 — Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah today broke fast with the people at the Sungai Tengi Mosque here.
His Highness also handed out Aidilfitri aid worth RM262,500 to 525 recipients, including 99 fakir asnaf, 355 poor asnaf, and 71 reverts, each receiving RM500.
After breaking fast, Tengku Amir Shah performed congregational Maghrib, Isyak and tarawih prayers with the people.

Earlier, His Highness arrived at the event with Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Selangor State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin, state executive councillor for Islam and innovation Dr Fahmi Ngah, Selangor Mufti Dato’ Anhar Opir, Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) chairman Dato’ Salehuddin Saidin, and Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) director Dato’ Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad.
The Sungai Tengi Mosque was designed with a modern concept and was completed on December 12, 2014, at a cost of RM5.3 million, financed by the federal government, state government, and public wakaf contributions.
Besides the nearly 6sqm main prayer hall, which can house up to 1,200 congregants, the mosque is equipped with imam’s quarters, an office, a conference space, a reading corner, a kitchen, and a funeral preparation room.
