HULU SELANGOR, Feb 26 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today handed out 1,000 containers of bubur lambuk and kurma to traders and visitors during his “Singgah Bazaar” visit to the FELDA Sungai Tengi Ramadan market here.
Accompanied by state executive councillor for rural development and unity Datuk Rizam Ismail, Amirudin also handed out the dish to every agency department head in Hulu Selangor.
Amirudin was warmly welcomed upon arrival by bazaar visitors and traders, who requested selfies and handshakes from the menteri besar.
He also took the opportunity to buy some food at several stalls to break fast, and handed out Raya money packets to children at the bazaar.
Also present were Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) president Julaihah Jamaludin, Batang Kali state constituency coordinator Saifuddin Shafi Muhammad, and Yayasan MBI chief Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor.

There was also a Platform Selangor (PLATS) registration counter at the bazaar for entrepreneurs to join the Selangor Entrepreneurs’ Go Digital programme under Rizam’s portfolio for Ramadan this year.
Throughout this Ramadan, 11,000 containers of bubur lambuk will be distributed in 11 locations statewide.
The effort kicked off on February 20, with Amirudin handing out 1,000 containers of bubur lambuk at the PKNS Ramadan bazaar in Shah Alam, as part of Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj’s Ihya’ Ramadan programme for the people.
