Earlier, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari kicked off the event, with state executive councillor for rural development and unity Datuk Rizam Ismail and PKNS group chief executive officer Dato’ Mahmud Abbas also present.

PKNS in a statement said RM48,000 was allocated for the event.
“This programme is part of PKNS’ corporate social responsibility initiative that is done every Ramadan as a platform to get closer to the local community,” it said.
At the same event, PKNS also handed out a RM10,000 Bakul Kasih Ramadan to Yayasan Belia Malaysia, represented by Rosli Abu Bakar.
The contribution included essential goods like rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour and eggs to help recipients prepare for Ramadan.
“These initiatives are aimed at helping needy groups, reflecting PKNS’ continuous commitment to foster togetherness and care for the community throughout Ramadan,” the corporation said.
PKNS will hand out bubur lambuk again on February 25 to its staff, while the next public sessions will be held on March 4 and 11, with 1,000 containers to be prepared for each date.
