SHAH ALAM, Feb 20 — Eleven thousand containers of bubur lambuk will be handed out under the Rumpun Selangor Bubur Lambuk Distribution Programme in 11 locations statewide throughout Ramadan, said state executive councillor for rural development and unity Datuk Rizam Ismail.
He said that 1,000 bubur lambuk packets will be handed out at each location, starting with the PKNS Ramadan bazaar here today, which was attended by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
Rizam said that this year, the tradition will continue in districts under Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj’s Ihya’ Ramadan programme.

“As with last year, we organise this programme every Ramadan, so this location is the first, and the last one will be in Sabak Bernam district.
“We will also hand out 2,000 bubur lambuk (packets) at the State Secretariat Building, also during this Ramadan,” Rizam said when met after accompanying Amirudin in distributing bubur lambuk to bazaar visitors here today.
Earlier, Amirudin spent about 20 minutes at the Ramadan bazaar to greet visitors and pose for photos with the public.
