SHAH ALAM, Feb 5 — Xiaomi Malaysia is aiming to produce more high-performance smartphones and smart home products that combine artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (AIoT) technology throughout 2026.

Adam Farid, Xiaomi Malaysia’s public relations manager, said the company wants to go further in meeting the evolving lifestyle needs of Malaysian consumers.

“Our goal is to ensure smart technology is not only advanced, but practical and able to add real value to users’ lives,” he said in a statement to Media Selangor.

“Through Xiaomi’s smart ecosystem, we hope to help Malaysians enjoy a more connected and efficient lifestyle,” he added.

Xiaomi Malaysia’s PR manager Adam Farid says it is vital for gadgets to be both smart and practical.

Adam noted that Malaysia’s smartphone market is highly competitive, but Xiaomi sees this as an opportunity to innovate and provide better user experiences. He said listening to local consumer feedback ensures products remain relevant and meet real needs.

“With this approach, Xiaomi hopes smart technology can reach more users without compromising on quality or performance,” he said.

Last week, the global tech brand announced a strategic collaboration with Media Selangor to expand smartphone usage through creative content production.

Under the partnership, Media Selangor received six units of Xiaomi’s 15T Series smartphones, featuring high-tech cameras to support media content creation.

Launched in September last year, the Xiaomi 15T Series emphasises Leica camera technology, high-performance MediaTek chips, and large 5,500mAh batteries.
