SHAH ALAM, Jan 16 — A total of 26 entrepreneurs from the Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL) area recently participated in the Selangor Platform Entrepreneurship Programme (PLATS) at the district level.
Held at Dewan Seri Jugra, Telok Datok, the program, part of the PLATS Digital Entrepreneur Tour (U-PLATS), introduced participants to Module 1: Business Start-up Marketing, aimed at enhancing their social media marketing skills.
“This module focuses on leveraging digital platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook to market products more widely and effectively. Participants were also introduced to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, e-commerce, and digital content creation to grow their business ideas,” MPKL said in a Facebook post.

The program, conducted by Goldmind Evolution Sdn Bhd, was attended by MPKL Licensing Department Director Nordila Yasir and PLATS Project Manager Siti Nur Hazwani Md Sabudin.
“MPKL is committed to supporting the state government’s agenda to modernise the entrepreneurship sector and boost local economic development,” the council said.
PLATS is a comprehensive ecosystem that provides local entrepreneurs with access to training, funding, and market networking.

Last year, PLATS entrepreneurs recorded sales transactions worth around RM15 million, driven by active engagement across multiple marketing and digital channels.
To date, nearly 100,000 entrepreneurs are registered on PLATS, which provides guidance in digital marketing, market matching, and local brand development.
Previously, executive councillor for entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi urged business owners, including those in the creative industry, to join PLATS programs to expand markets and gain new knowledge through shared experiences.
