SHAH ALAM, Dec 20 — Media Selangor, for the first time, introduced the Media Selangor Impact Awards (AIMS) 2025 to recognise high-impact journalistic and digital content while appreciating the contributions of its workforce.
The awards featured four main categories, namely High-Impact Article, High-Impact Video, High-Impact TikTok Video, and High-Impact Infographic.
The awards were presented during Media Selangor Sdn Bhd (MSSB) 2025 Appreciation Night, held in Petaling Jaya yesterday.
For the High-Impact Article category, journalist Nurul Ufairah Tarmizi emerged as the winner for her consistent reporting that highlights community issues through a factual and impactful approach.
“This award serves as a stepping stone and a source of motivation for me to continue producing meaningful work.
“I remain committed to delivering quality news and current issues through writing that raises public awareness," she said.
The High-Impact Video award was won by Norrasyidah Arshad, who described the achievement as unexpected.
“I never imagined that a single report could lead to this win. This recognition motivates me to produce higher-quality, investigative-based reports,” she said.
Meanwhile, Nik Nazihah Nik Ahmad Khan claimed the High-Impact Infographic award in recognition of her creativity and ability to present information concisely and accurately.
“The competition was very intense and this recognition inspires me to be even more creative in delivering credible and easily understood news.”
The High-Impact TikTok Video category was won by Raja Syazwani Raja Azman, Harun Tajudin and Nurul Nabihah Abdul Hamid for their video titled "APM Perangkap Buaya".
Recognition was also given to recipients of the Excellent Service Award (APC), as well as staff members who have served the organisation for 10 and 15 years, in appreciation of their dedication and commitment.
This year’s APC recipients were Media Selangor Operations Department head Marniza Othman, senior sales executive Syahir Khadri, journalist Siti Sofia Md Nasir and assistant video editor Anna Farina Abdul Rauf.
Each award recipient received a 2.125-gram gold dinar and a trophy as tokens of appreciation for their outstanding performance and commitment.
