SHAH ALAM, Nov 20 — The Selangor Zakat Carnival 2025 will be held from Thursday (November 27) to Friday (November 29) at Dewan Raja Muda Musa in Section 7.
The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) said the three-day event, which will be open from 9am to 9pm, offers a variety of interactive activities, including exhibitions, community programmes, and family activities suitable for all ages.
The carnival is among its initiatives to raise awareness of the importance of zakat (tithe) and to strengthen ties with the community in a relaxed, inclusive setting.
Over 150 exhibitors, including government agencies, private companies, industry players, and local entrepreneurs, will take part in the event, offering the community access to various information, services, and featured initiatives.
“The main highlight of this carnival is the i-Kerjaya Carnival, which offers more than 1,500 job opportunities from 20 employers across the services, manufacturing, trading, automotive, and food and beverage sectors.
"This initiative is open to all job seekers with priority given to the poor, needy and registered asnaf, to help them obtain stable and suitable career opportunities," it said in a statement today.
The carnival will also feature a variety of activities, including community sports, a Zakat Run, as well as E-Sports and VR Spot zones. Visitors can also enjoy the Rahmah Sale, a Food Festival, and daily lucky draws.
To attract families, the event also includes the Perdana Forum, appearances by popular mascots Omar and Hana, a Recycle Corner, and a colouring competition.
LZS added that special souvenirs await visitors who register at the venue, along with the chance to win three motorcycles offered in conjunction with the LZS Year-End Campaign.
For public convenience, asnaf census counters, assistance enquiries, assessment services, and zakat payment facilities are also available throughout the carnival.
