SHAH ALAM, Nov 12 — The 2026 Selangor Budget focuses on strengthening the people's well-being, driving economic prosperity and advancing the state’s development to ensure that no one is left behind, said Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari.
The state government remains committed to the principles of trust, accountability, and checks and balances to ensure that every policy and expenditure directly benefits the people.
“InsyaAllah (God willing), the 2026 Selangor Budget has been formulated with a firm commitment to enhancing public welfare, economic prosperity, and state progress; ensuring that no citizen is marginalised.
“It continues to uphold the principles of integrity, responsibility, and the process of checks and balances in the Selangor State Legislative Assembly,” he said in a Facebook post this evening.
Earlier, Amirudin attended a bill briefing and pre-council meeting in preparation for the Third Meeting (Budget) of the Assembly's Third Term.
It was also attended by state executive councillors, the Assembly's Speaker and Deputy Speaker, state assemblymen, and department heads under the State Secretary’s Office (SUK) as part of final preparations for the budget presentation.
The 2026 Selangor Budget is scheduled to be tabled in the Selangor State Legislative Assembly this Friday (November 14).
Previously, he said that the budget is a “transition budget”, marking the conclusion of the First Selangor Plan (RS-1) while laying the foundation for the Second Selangor Plan (RS-2), which will be presented next year.
