SHAH ALAM, Oct 30 — Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj today presented a letter of appointment for the post of state chief sharie to Nenney Shuhaidah Shamsuddin, effective November 1.
During the ceremony at Istana Kayangan today, His Royal Highness also presented the appointment letter for the post of Selangor Islamic Religious Council (Mais) secretary to Mohd Sabirin Sarbini, effective July 16. Sabirin has also been appointed Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) trustee.
The Ruler then presented appointment letters to Datuk Mohd Raszi Abdul Latif as a permanent panel member of the Selangor Shariah Appeal Court, and to Salwani Khalid as chief registrar of the Selangor Shariah Appeal Court. Norhazli Rahim was appointed deputy registrar of the Selangor Shariah High Court.
Four people were appointed as Selangor Shariah Subordinate Court sharie — Muhammad Amir Firdaus Sidin, Mohd Amir Yahaya, Norul Aina Bahari, and Ahmad Faizul Ashar.
Sultan Sharafuddin also presented letters of appointment to Tan Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir and Mohamed Izam Mohamed Yusof as members of the board of directors for Perbadanan Wakaf Selangor (PWS).
Meanwhile, six Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) officers received their appointment letters, comprising four assistant registrars of the Shariah Subordinate Court, one head registrar of marriage, divorce, and reconciliation; and one senior registrar of marriage, divorce and reconciliation.
All appointments were made in accordance with the Selangor State Islamic Religious Administration Enactment 2023.
Present at the ceremony were Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari and state executive councillor for Islam and innovation Dr Fahmi Ngah.
