KUALA LANGAT, Oct 23 — The administration of free Influenza A vaccination shots will begin this week across four districts, said Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said it will focus on four districts: Hulu Langat, Gombak, Klang, and Petaling.
“This free vaccination initiative is under the purview of the state executive councillor for public health (Jamaliah Jamaluddin) and the Selangor Education Department. We are starting in four districts due to the high number of influenza cases reported.
“We will provide a report soon on how many have completed their vaccinations,” Amirudin said after visiting SMK Sijangkang Jaya today.
Previously, the Menteri Besar announced that Selangor would allocate RM1 million to provide free Influenza A vaccinations.
The vaccination programme targets 12,500 students across the four districts: Hulu Langat, Gombak, Klang, and Petaling, and is led by Jamaliah.
