SHAH ALAM, Oct 3 — High salaries of between RM5,000 and RM12,000 a month are among attractions of the Selangor Special JobCare Career Carnival, which will be held on October 6 at the MBSA Convention Centre here.
State executive councillor for human resources and poverty eradication V. Papparaidu said companies like Soft Reflexes Sdn Bhd, Radicare (M) Sdn Bhd and KyoChon Sdn Bhd will be offering jobs at the fair.
“(The fair) offers 6,088 jobs by 40 employers. From that amount, 1,522 jobs offer wages below RM2,500, while 4,566 roles (offer wages) above RM2,500,” he said in a statement today.
The career fair offers jobs in sectors including retail and sales, information technology and communications, food and beverage, and administration and human resources.
Papparaidu said 71.7 per cent of Malaysia’s unemployed live in Selangor, adding that the state government is focusing on inclusive development by offering 1,060 special jobs for vulnerable groups, including 260 roles for people with disabilities.
“The asnaf, Orang Asli, ex-convicts, AADK (National Anti-Drug Agency) clients, senior citizens, women returning to work, and unhoused people are also being targeted (with this job fair),” he said.
