KLANG, Oct 1 — As GM Klang celebrates 16 years of being Malaysia’s leading wholesale destination, the milestone is marked with a special announcement, a surprise for its loyal customers!
Starting November 1, it will extend its daily operating hours from 10am to 10pm. This initiative is not just about staying open longer; it is a meaningful gesture of appreciation for the millions of customers who have supported GM Klang’s journey since day one.
With longer hours, shoppers can enjoy more time to shop, dine, and experience new, vibrant offerings in a more relaxed and flexible atmosphere from day to night.
As a symbolic gesture to mark the first day of this new operating schedule, GM Klang will host a special celebration themed 'Ceritera Selangor' on Saturday, November 1.
The event will be officiated by YBhg. Dato' Haji Abd. Hamid bin Hussain, Mayor of the Klang Royal City Council (MBDK), and will feature a vibrant programme of multicultural performances, traditional fashion showcases, and a diverse selection of popular and viral dishes through the Rasa Fusion Food Festival 3.0.
The event signifies not just the launch of the extended hours, but also the beginning of a more colourful, family-friendly night culture at GM Klang.
“Evening hours will now become the new heartbeat of GM Klang. It is not just about extra time to shop. We want the night to be a time for the community to come together, unwind, and create memorable experiences with friends and family.
"A variety of evening activities have been lined up to further enhance the night-time atmosphere. We want the GM Klang experience to go beyond transactions. We aim for meaningful interactions, supported by amenities such as free parking after 6pm," said GM Klang's Brand Communications Department senior manager Norsuhaida Othman.
Alongside the extended hours, a series of evening programmes will roll out in stages. These
include 'Night Crazy Deals', an exclusive daily promotion starting 7pm, the 'Monthly Lucky Night Draw: Shop & Win at GM Klang' featuring grand prizes like motorcycles and smart TVs, and the weekly 'Rioooh Malam Sabtu' series that are set to enliven weekends with a variety of exciting themes.
This strategic move aligns with GM Klang’s commitment to becoming a progressive hub for trade, tourism, and community engagement, especially in the lead-up to Visit Malaysia 2026.
