SHAH ALAM, Sept 28 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has sent condolences to the Selangor royal family over the death of Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin’s mother this morning.
Representing the state, Amirudin prayed that Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, and the whole royal family be granted strength and perseverance in the face of this tragedy.
“May God bless her soul, pardon her sins and place her among the righteous,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post.
Earlier today, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin’s mother, Esah Tahar, died of old age at a hospital in Damansara.
The Selangor Royal Office said in a statement that Esah was 82 years old and had been laid to rest at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque.
